Australian Timber FramesThese carved timber frames used to mount the stone are mostly made from one piece of natural timber. Wood is collected from all over Australia to select a variety of colours and patterns. The timber is dried for at least 2 years before use. Some pieces are collected from areas that were felled for timber 100 years ago and have been lying in creeks or inaccessible places since then. -
